Kavindu Kulasekara is an exciting prospect who represented Sri Lanka national sides from U15 to U19. Kulasekara represented the Sri Lanka U19 contingent to the 2014 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. Kulasekara captained Thurstan College in the 51st Battle of the brothers and won the man of the match in the big match. Kulasekara made his first-class debut in 2015 for Sinhalese Sports Club and had an excellent debut season managing 423 runs at an average of 42.30 with a brilliant century against Colombo Cricket Club.
Kulasekara was a prominent player in SSC before he moved to Moors Sports Club in 2021. Kulasekara had a brilliant season with the Moors hammering 147 runs with a healthy average of 73.50. Kulasekara has managed 2266 runs in 49 matches with an average close to 40 and has managed 496 runs in 28 List A games while managing 213 runs in 11 T20 games. Kulasekara has been a seasoned campaigner in England domestic cricket. Kulasekara in his debut season played for Cleator CC and managed 431 runs in 18 games. He starred for Driffield Town CC in 2018 and managed 789 runs in 24 matches with an average of 35.86 and captured 21 wickets with the best figures of 6 wickets for 21 runs.
Kulasekara returned to his 3rd season with Easington C.W. CC managing 416 runs in 25 games and bagging 29 wickets. Kulasekara played a vital role for Morley CC managing 695 runs at an average of 34.75 with the best score of 103 while capturing 44 scalps with the best figure of 8 wickets for 34 runs showing his ability with both bat and ball.
